Uses & Benefits: SwingBak (The Original)
The SwingBak roller provides soft tissue mobilization and trigger point relief. The use of the SwingBak will allow you to improve your range of motion and flexibility. The following routine is recommended before and after your favorite sporting activity or workout.
First Exercise
Lumbar Spine (lower back)
Start at your pelvis and work towards your neck. Find a tight area and apply direct downward pressure. Hold each region for 30 seconds and repeat if needed.
Second Exercise
Thoracic Spine (mid-back)
This area is very important to allow your body to rotate. Apply the SwingBak just as you would with the lower back. Be sure to take deep breaths in and out while letting your body weight sink into the roller.
Third Exercise
Gluteals (hip & buttock)
The Gluteal muscles are very important to a solid foundation and provide power. Apply downward pressure on the hip & buttock muscles. You can cross your leg to apply more downward pressure and work deep hip & buttock muscles.
Fourth Exercise
Cervical Spine (neck)
Saddle the “bone-zone™ into the curve of your neck, push your chin backwards and gently roll back and forth. Turn your head slightly to work the muscles on each side of your neck if needed.
Fifth Exercise
Calves & Shins
Place the SwingBak directly over your calves and roll gently across the entire muscle.
If needed you can apply additional pressure by placing your other leg on top of the leg you are working and push downwards.
You can also use the end cap of the SwingBak as demonstrated in the image.
